As the local arts agency for Macon-Bibb County, Macon Arts Alliance provides development services to local arts organizations. Momentum for the Arts is an innovative approach to capacity building developed by the Georgia Center for Nonprofits. As the local host organization, Macon Arts Alliance helped leverage local, state and national support in order to increase the impact and sustainability of arts non-profits in Central Georgia.

Organizations that participate will attend monthly training meetings and work one-on-one with a consultant to put together:
A comprehensive organizational assessment
A strategic plan
An evaluation plan

Monthly workshops cover topics vital to the success of non-profits, such as:
Board engagement and development
