MACON ARTS ALLIANCE – FIRE & ICE CERAMIC AND GLASS FESTIVAL
Macon Arts Alliance invites you to participate in our 8th Annual Fire & Ice Festival, which will be November 13 – 21, 2026 in the Round Building in Carolyn Crayton Park in downtown Macon, Georgia. We are hoping to have our returning artists participate, and hope to include many new potters as well.
We are planning preview shopping on November 12th for sponsors and members. You and a guest are welcome to attend. Load-in on Wednesday, November 11th will allow us to photograph and upload selected inventory to our online store before the preview event on Thursday. All exhibiting artists will have selected work featured online at www.maconarts.org/shop.
Daily Shopping hours at Fired Works are 10 AM – 4 PM.

ADDITIONAL CALLS FOR ART
The Think Pink Committee is seeking artists to participate in this year’s Think Pink Poodle Exhibit and contest. The details are:
- The silhouette of the wooden poodle is provided to each artist in the month of October. Pick up instructions will be emailed to artists who respond. Please do not copy the committee’s poodle shape to have others made for your use.
- Poodles – You may use a variety of mediums such as acrylic paints, clay, mosaic materials, etc. Nothing bulky/ large should be attached to the poodle. Any attachments that you wish to add must be secure. Be sure that you have a theme that supports Macon—its history, musical history, Cherry Blossom spirit, poodle love, kindness, international friendship, Cherry Blossom festival scenes, 3rd Street Park, etc. Please use a permanent marker to write your name and the theme of your poodle on the back of the poodle.
- Bring your finished poodle to the 567 Center for Renewal during week of January 26-29 between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. In addition, you should provide a painting/wall art along with your poodle to be part of the show. The painting/wall art should be marked for sale with a price; 567 will retain 35% of the sale price. If you have the time to provide a painting that reflects the Cherry Blossom Festival, that would be nice, but certainly not necessary. Your painting needs to be wired to hang—no saw tooth hangers.
- All poodle entries will be viewed by the public during the month of February at the 567 Center for Renewal located on 456 First St. in Macon, GA. First Friday is on February 5 which is the “official opening” of the exhibit.
- The poodles will be judged by selected judges, but a viewer’s choice award will also be given. Be sure to encourage friends and family to drop by the 567 Center during the month of February to admire and vote on their favorite.
- A special reception will be held on February 25, 2027 at 5:00 to acknowledge and honor each artist. At that time awards will be presented.
- Each poodle becomes the property of the Think Pink Committee.
- The artists of the winning poodle will be awarded $100; other awards will also be announced including a Viewer’s Choice.
- Artists who would like to purchase their poodle may do so for $50.
