Creative Relief – A Recovery Fund for Artists

Macon Arts Alliance has established the Creative Relief Fund to provide direct support to individual artists and creatives in Central Georgia facing isolated financial emergencies.
The Creative Relief Fund distributes grants from $500 to $1,000 to creative professionals and was been seeded by a generous $40,000 grant from the Central Georgia COVID-19 Response & Recovery Fund established by the Community Foundation of Central Georgia and United Way of Central Georgia.

100% of your tax-deductible donation supports the Creative Response fund designed to help visual and craft artists, musicians, performers, filmmakers, writers, designers, and community-focused artists with financial hardships caused by COVID-19 cancellations and lost revenue.  Thank you for your consideration of support!

Eligible creatives in Bibb, Baldwin, Houston, Crawford, Jones, Peach, Monroe, and Twiggs County can apply for grants from $500 -$1000 to cover personal and professional expenses and lost income as a result of an emergency life event, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Funding awards are subject to approval and availability, and are distributed on a first come, first served basis.

To date the Creative Response Artist Relief Fund has received more than 90 unique applications and awarded over $40,000 in direct financial relief to over 50 artists in 6 counties across Central Georgia. 43% of applicants are musicians. 31% are visual artists with the remaining quarter coming from various other disciplines.
