Join us for a fun and art filled weekend featuring beautiful murals throughout our downtown area. Macon Arts Alliance is excited to pair muralists with participating businesses and further brand Macon as a vibrant, creative community.
The Macon Mural Festival generates impactful economic growth, creates community gathering spaces and fosters connection and compassion among diverse groups. The Festival also purposes to bring quality public art to underserved neighborhoods to encourage a sense of pride and identity

Schedule of Events:
Friday, September 13th – Muralists will begin painting, and you are invited to stroll around downtown to watch their creations come to life.
Saturday, September 14th – Artists will continue to work on their murals. Local artist Bo Walker will be painting on Riverside Drive at MLK from 10 AM – 5 PM AND you are invited to participate! That evening, the public is invited to meet the artists at our Mural Celebration Party at the Gallery at Macon Arts, 486 First Street. from 6 – 8 PM. This party is free to attend.
Sunday, September 15th – Artists will complete their murals. It’s a great time to take another walk and see the finished work.
Weather Statement – As of September 12th, the walls will still be painted by the muralists during our Mural Festival, September 13-15. However, it is the muralist’s decision if the conditions become to difficult to work in. We hope everyone still enjoys the events, though we might suggest bringing your umbrella.
